Two more jewels have been added to our crown with the naming of our resort – for the ninth consecutive year: “Mexico & Central America’s Leading Hotel,” at the 2020 World Travel Awards (WTA). The event, which took place virtually on November 5, 2020, is one of the travel industry’s most prestigious global programs, honoring the “Best” in the tourism industry.

WTA’s goal, since it was established in 1993, is to encourage excellence in the international travel and tourism arena. Nominations are determined by a group of industry experts in areas such as: customer relations, creativity, quality of service, standards, guest satisfaction and product innovation. The yearlong campaign for excellence in tourism, travel and hospitality invites participation from travel professionals and the public around the world. The nominee garnering the most votes in a category is declared the winner.

Every year, WTA features its Grand Tour – a series of regional gala ceremonies to honor each of the winners in each continent, culminating in a Grand Final Tour at the end of the year. This year, due to Covid-19, the awards were held virtually. As the regional ‘Mexico & Central America Leading Hotel’ winner, Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun All Inclusive Spa Resort will compete in The World Awards, which will be announced virtually at the Grand Final on November 27, 2020.

In addition, Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun All Inclusive Spa Resort has been recognized as “Best Destination Spa” by the prestigious Condé Nast Johansens Awards For Excellence for 2020.

The Awards For Excellence were created to acknowledge, reward, and celebrate excellence across Condé Nast Johansens’ collection of recommended hotels and resorts worldwide. Throughout the years, these Awards have been a trusted hallmark of quality recognized by seasoned travelers and professionals alike.

Despite these trying times, we’re thrilled that our resort continues to garner international recognition!
