During these difficult COVID-19 times, we’ve implemented a series of procedures to assure that you are kept safe and cared for during your stay with us.
Our Travel with Confidence program offers the most effective cleaning and sanitizing measures, offering you memorable experiences in a completely safe environment.
In addition, we’re offering a medical insurance package – with no deductible or co-insurance fees – which you can purchase on check-in. This policy assures you peace of mind as it covers medical care in case of an accident or illness, including COVID-19, and protects you throughout your stay.
Travel with Confidence Protection
This insurance policy includes:
- 24/7 telemedicine services or virtual consultation without leaving the hotel.
- Coverage of hotel expenses (including meals) during convalescence period due to serious injury or illness, if the health professional determines that the patient should remain in the hotel for a period longer than what they had originally planned on.
- Emergency ambulance services if medically necessary.
- Repatriation of remains in case of accident or illness.
The cost of this policy is $4 USD (plus taxes) per night . As part of this insurance, if you test positive for COVID -19 during your stay, we offer a special accommodation rate of $10 USD (plus taxes) per night, per patient during your quarantine period. This concession is only for those guests who tested positive, as they must be isolated from their travel group (if everyone else tested negative) in a separate room, in compliance with international and federal health regulations. For their travel companions, the resort will extend a special rate of $150 USD (plus taxes) per night, per person to cover the same number of nights as the quarantined guest.
When you’re ready to fly home, we’ve got you covered. The US and some other countries now require that passengers submit to a viral (PCR or Antigen) test proving that they are COVID-19 free before arriving in that country.
The specimen must be collected within three calendar days preceding flight departure.
Every passenger – 2 years of age or older – must show a negative test result. A parent or other authorized individual may attest to this on behalf of passengers aged 2 to 17 years.
For your convenience, we’re offering a complimentary, CDC-authorized Antigen test performed by a local lab inside our resort facilities. ( to passengers traveling to USA) Medical personnel from Amerimed Hospital Cancun will be on site Monday – Saturday from 6:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. in the Coral Kingdom Ballroom to administer the test. Reservations can be made with the Concierge.
The hotel will cover the price of the Antigen Test and results will be furnished by email/paper within 24- 36 hours of testing. There is an additional fee for the PCR test and is subject to availability.
Amerimed Hospital is offering PCR testing for $2,000.00 MXN (around $100.00 USD).
Each guest requesting either test must furnish the following:
Full Name (as in your passport)
Date of birth
Airline and flight no.
Type of test you would like PCR test or Antigen Test:
