Ringing in the New Year with a Host of Stellar Options!

 It’s that time of year again and the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun will be ringing in the New Year in style!

The holiday décor on display throughout the resort serves as the perfect backdrop for the dazzling line-up of dining and entertainment options in place for December 31, starting at 8 p.m.

Leading the list of tempting dining choices paving the way into the New Year:

• One of only seven restaurants in Mexico to be honored with the coveted AAA 5-Diamond Award in 2016, Le Basilic will be featuring an eight-course gourmet menu, live piano music, French champagne, an open bar with international spirits and party favors. Tasty menu selections range from king crab fritters with a tequila shot, to lobster thermidor medallions, duck leg filled with truffles and more. For the grand finale, indulge in a vanilla parfait with berries, chocolates and petit fours. Open 8 p.m. – 1: 30 a.m.
• Feel the warmth of Mexico in La Joya with a seven-course menu of haute Mexican cuisine, international open bar and party favors – highlighted, of course by a mariachi band and lively Mexican show. Start your dining experience with corn truffle cream soup, shrimp and scallops marinated in chile sauce and the catch of the day bathed in xcatic chile sauce with corn kernels and black olive puree, or a tender chile crusted lamb chop with dark beer, cacao and plum sauce. For dessert, savor a white chocolate mousse. Open from 8 p.m. – 2 a.m. 

• Ring in 2017 in the seaside Isla Contoy, where you’ll be treated to an international buffet and bar, party favors and a live band. The bountiful buffet will feature a raw bar, special salad, pasta and carving stations, artisanal cheese, cold cuts and soups. A selection of hot entrees will feature lamb chops, chicken, braised beef, Caribbean lobster and sea bass with a variety of sides. Open 8 p.m. – 2 a.m.

 Grand Masquerade Ball –

Step into a magical world of the Grand Coral Ballroom with its vintage décor to celebrate the New Year. A variety of special dishes with all the trimmings, local fresh seafood, premium meats, raw bar, decadent desserts and flamed coffees will dot the international buffet, accompanied of course, by a choice of international spirits. During the evening, guests will be treated to various Du Cirque Venetian Happenings, topped off by cold fireworks. As you start the countdown to the New Year, a sparkling wine toast will accompany the traditional 12 grapes right at midnight. The beat will go on with an international and electronic DJ. For avid party-goers, a complimentary mini-Mexican buffet will be served at 2 a.m. with traditional chilaquiles, tamales, tacos, beer and flambéed coffees. Open from 8 p.m. – 4 a.m.

 

Welcoming the New Year –

Kick-start the new year by treating yourself to a delicious champagne brunch in the popular Viña del Mar. From 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. the international breakfast buffet will feature a host of options scattered throughout interactive stations with grilled meats, carving stations, cold stations with a seafood and ceviche bar, cheeses, fruit and a long line of decadent desserts and smoothies.
